Terms & Conditions

Last updated: 23 August 2026

24 hours’ notice is required to cancel or rearrange an appointment

Cancellations, changes or no-shows with less than 24 hours’ notice will result in loss of your deposit.

1. Appointments

All grooming appointments are booked in advance and are reserved specifically for your pet.

Please ensure that you provide accurate contact details when making your booking.

Appointments must be attended at the agreed date and time. Please arrive promptly to allow sufficient time for your pet’s grooming appointment.

2. Cancellation Policy – 24 Hours Notice

We require at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or rearrange an appointment.

If an appointment is cancelled or rearranged with less than 24 hours’ notice, the booking deposit will be forfeited.

If you fail to attend your appointment without cancelling, the deposit will also be forfeited.

Where no deposit has been paid, Rachaels Woof Boutique reserves the right to require payment before accepting future bookings.

We understand that genuine emergencies can happen. Each situation will be considered at our discretion.

3. Deposits

A deposit may be required to secure your appointment.

The deposit is used to reserve your appointment time and is non-refundable where less than 24 hours’ notice is given, subject to any rights you may have under applicable consumer law.

Providing at least 24 hours’ notice allows us the opportunity to offer the appointment to another customer.

Deposits will normally be deducted from the final cost of the grooming service.

4. Late Arrivals

Please arrive on time for your appointment.

If you arrive late, this may reduce the amount of time available for your pet’s grooming appointment.

Where a delay means that the grooming service cannot reasonably be completed, we may need to rearrange the appointment. In such circumstances, the deposit may be forfeited.

If you know you are going to be late, please contact us as soon as possible.

5. No-Show Appointments

If you do not attend your appointment and have not contacted us, the appointment will be treated as a no-show.

Any deposit paid will be forfeited.

Repeated no-shows may result in future appointments being refused or requiring full payment in advance.

6. Changing an Appointment

Appointments may be rearranged provided that at least 24 hours’ notice is given.

Requests to change an appointment with less than 24 hours’ notice will be treated as a late cancellation and the deposit will be forfeited.

Any rearranged appointment is subject to availability.

7. Pet Health and Welfare

The health and welfare of your pet is our priority.

You must tell us about any known medical conditions, allergies, skin conditions, injuries, medications, behavioural issues or other circumstances that could affect grooming.

You must also inform us if your pet has previously shown aggressive or unpredictable behaviour.

We reserve the right to refuse or stop grooming if we believe continuing would put your pet, another animal or a member of staff at risk.

8. Aggressive or Difficult Behaviour

Please inform us before the appointment if your pet has a history of biting, aggression, severe anxiety or other difficult behaviour.

If we are unable to safely groom your pet, we may stop the appointment.

Where an appointment has to be stopped because the pet cannot safely be handled, the deposit may not be refundable.

9. Matted or Tangled Coats

Severely matted or tangled coats can cause discomfort and may require a shorter haircut than originally requested.

The welfare of your pet will always take priority over achieving a particular style.

Where extensive matting is discovered, additional grooming time or charges may apply where agreed with the owner.

10. Fleas, Ticks and Parasites

If fleas, ticks or other parasites are discovered during grooming, we may need to alter or stop the grooming service.

We may contact you to discuss the appropriate course of action.

Owners are responsible for ensuring that their pets receive appropriate preventative parasite treatment.

11. Emergency Veterinary Treatment

Although we take every reasonable care, an unexpected illness, injury or medical emergency may occur.

If we believe that veterinary attention is necessary, we will attempt to contact you and may seek veterinary assistance where reasonably necessary to protect your pet’s welfare.

The owner remains responsible for veterinary costs, except where such costs arise from circumstances for which Rachaels Woof Boutique is legally responsible.

12. Grooming Results

Every pet’s coat, skin, temperament and grooming requirements are different.

We will always aim to achieve the agreed grooming result, but the final appearance may vary depending on the condition and characteristics of the individual pet.

Where a coat is severely matted, the requested style may not be possible.

13. Collection

You are responsible for collecting your pet promptly once the grooming appointment has been completed.

Please ensure that we have a current telephone number so that we can contact you when your pet is ready.

14. Prices

Prices may vary depending on the breed, size, coat condition, coat length, temperament and amount of work required.

Any prices displayed on the website or booking system should be considered subject to the individual requirements of your pet.

Where additional work is required, we will endeavour to discuss this with you where reasonably possible.

15. Photography

We may take photographs of pets before or after grooming.

Photographs may be used for our records and, where permission has been given, for promotional purposes.

If you do not wish photographs of your pet to be used for promotional purposes, please let us know.
